David L. Tompkins, 75, of Sturgis, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 23, 2010, at Sturgis Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; a daughter, Tracy (Don) Belyeu of East Jefferson, N.C.; a son, Craig Tompkins of Gainesville, Fla.; two stepsons, Eric (Linda) Carr of Sturgis and Daniel (Casandra) Farnham of Colon; three grandchildren, David (Marie) Belyeu of Gainesville, Sarah (Steve) Moeller of Colgate, Ga., and Nathan Belyeu of North Carolina; and two brothers, Danny (Shirley) Tompkins and Mark Tompkins, both of St. Augustine, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Glenna Tompkins; and a sister.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses, 66948 S. Nottawa Road, Sturgis. Mr. Ron Andrews will officiate.
