Peggy Jane Vaughn, 76, of Three Rivers, passed away on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010 at the Heartland Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Weakley Co., Tenn., the daughter of Benjamin and Gertie (Gant) Bogle.
Peggy has spent much of her life in this area, working as secretary for American Electric Power, Hydra-Matic (General Motors), and the Michigan Mental Health Agency. She truly loved her family, children, and grandchildren.
Mrs. Vaughn was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Stephen Vaughn; four brothers and one sister as well as two brothers-in-law.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Vaughn of Three Rivers; two daughters, Brenda McKinley of Juneau, Alaska and Sharon Tucek of Austin, Texas; one sister, Bennie Barnes of Three Rivers, four grandchildren, Heather and Matthew Tucek, and Tracy and Cindy McKinley; three brothers-in-law, Kenneth, and Jessee Vaughn, both of Houghton Lake, and Dale Vaughn, of Manistee; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Pastor Samuel Maddox officiating.
Memorials may be donated to the charity of one’s choice.
