Richard (Buzz) Williams, 76

Richard C. (Buzz) Williams,  age 76, of Nottawa passed away Thursday, October 7th, 2010 at the Fairview Nursing Community in Centreville. He was born in Nottawa on October 17, 1933,  a son of Guy and Irene (Bowersox) Williams. Buzz graduated from Centreville High School in 1952.  On  July 26, 1959, Buzz married Norma Headley in Three Rivers. She preceded him in death August 4, 2009.
Buzz  owned Williams Auto Parts in Nottawa from 1943  until 1987. He also ran a Phllips 66 Gas Station and was an RCA TV Repairman. Buzz was a Nottawa Twp. Constable, a Centreville Lilttle League Coach,  a member of the React Group, and the St. Joseph County Saddle Club. He also raced stock cars for 20 years at Butler.
Surviving Buzz are his 4 sons, Richard M. Williams, Roger A. (Misty) Williams, Raymond C. Williams, all of Nottawa, and Robert G. (Karen) Williams of Sturgis.  Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers George and Charlie WIlliams, nephew Randy Williams and Uncle Clifford and Aunt Lela Williams.
Relatives and friends will be received Monday from 2-4 pm at the  Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, where Religious Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Pastor David Peterson of the Centreville Baptist Church will officiate.
