Ronald Hicks, 62

RONALD LESTER HICKS, 62, of Sturgis, Michigan passed away
 unexpectedly Tuesday October 5, 2010 at his home.

 He was born January 20, 1948 in Lyons, Ohio a son of the late Lawrence
 and Emma (Richardson) Hicks.

 Ron had resided in Sturgis for the past 18 years coming from
 Shipshewana, Indiana. He had also lived in Missouri and his early life
 was spent in the Lyons, Ohio area.

 He had been employed by Sturgis Iron & Metal in Sturgis for over 16
 years until the company was sold. Ron loved fishing and mushroom hunting.

 He is survived by one son, Timothy (Cynthia Whitney) Hicks of Burr Oak,
 one daughter, Shelly (Larry) Miller of Scott, Indiana, four
 grandchildren, one great grandchild, four sisters, Evelyn Taylor of
 Stryker, Ohio, Delores (John) Dietrich of Bryan, Ohio, Pamela Hephner of
 Bryan, Ohio and Vickey (David) Abbott of West Unity, Ohio, three
 brothers, Ernest (Sharon) Hicks of Lake Seneca, Ohio, Robert (Carolyn)
 Hicks of Wauseon, Ohio and Rickey (Marie) Hicks of Montpelier, Ohio and
 many nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

 In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of
 friends and relatives will take place at a later date.
