Wilmyth Lucille DeMint, 91, formerly of Nottawa, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais, Ill. She was born on Nov. 23, 1918 in Marion, Ind., the daughter of Edgar N. and Iona E. McAtee.
Mrs. DeMint and her late husband, Rev. Milo DeMint, whom she married in 1940, pastored Churches of the Nazarene in Ohio, Wisconsin and Michigan. After retirement from the ministry they resided in Nottawa and were members of the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene.
Wilmyth leaves to cherish her memory four loving children, daughter, Rebecca Pitts (David) of Gardendale, Ala.; sons, Michael DeMint (Norma) of Gregory, Daniel DeMint (Dianna) of St. Louis, Mo. and John DeMint (Deb) of St. Anne, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Paula Gebhardt, David Michael Pitts, Shaun DeMint (Resa), Timothy DeMint (Kristyn), David DeMint, Brent DeMint, Tracy DeMint, Kristin DeMint, Tiffany DeZwaan (Jonathan), Mark DeMint (Megan) and Kimberly St. Louis (Greg); one brother, Harold McAtee (Margaret) of Marion, Ind.; four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon on Friday, Oct. 29 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating.
Interment will be held in Nottawa Cemetery, Nottawa Township.
