Stanley Eugene Zimmerman Jr., 80, of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 6, 2010, at his home, while being cared for by his family, as were his wishes.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Sturgis.
A procession to Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis will follow the visitation, where a graveside service and burial of the ashes will take place.
The Revs. Deb Johnson and Robert Keim will officiate. Following the service, the family invites friends and relatives to join them at the church, where a meal will be served and a time to continue the sharing of memories and fellowship.
Hackman Family Funeral Homes Hackman Chapel in Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Zimmerman’s memory consider First United Methodist Church, 200 Pleasant Ave., Sturgis, MI 49091.
