Helen G. Dwyer, age 92, of Colon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
Helen was born Oct. 25, 1918, in Chicago, a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Kubiak) Jasiczek.
On June 13, 1940, she married William E. Dwyer in Chicago. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1993.
Helen had made her home in Colon since 1976, coming from Oak Lawn, Ill. She was a member of the St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Colon.
She is survived by her son, Michael W. (Mickey) Dwyer of Colon; one sister, Irene Jasiczek of Chicago Ridge, Ill.; a niece, Donna (August) Arrigo of Marionette Park, Ill.; and a grand-nephew, Michael Arnzen of Bridgeview, Ill.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Colon, with the Rev. Fr. Richard Fritz officiating. A funeral luncheon will follow at the Colon American Legion.
