Kurt Frohriep, 47

Kurt Robert Frohriep, age 47, of Mendon, passed away unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.

He was born July 27, 1963, in Sturgis, a son of Harold L. and Janice (Besser) Frohriep.

Kurt graduated from Sturgis High School with the class of 1981 and received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University.

He just recently moved to Mendon and previously resided in many states, moving around with his job.

In 1983, he married Kendall Ickes. She preceded him in death in 1997.

Kurt had been employed as a computer programmer for Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, Ohio, for 14 years.

He enjoyed scuba diving, music, and playing the guitar. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis and had been attending with his parents.

Surviving are five children, Emily Dark and husband, Bryan, of Kileen, Texas, Adrienne Frohriep of Hillsboro, Ore., Ellen Williams and husband, Henry, of Swansea, S.C., Miriam Frohriep of Texas, and Kurt Robert Frohriep Jr. of Ohio; a granddaughter, River Dark, of Kileen; parents, Harold L. and Janice Frohriep of Sturgis; and a brother, Scott Frohriep and wife, Beverly, of Mason, Ohio.

According to his wishes, there will be no visitation or services, as cremation has taken place. The Hackman
