Lawrence Douglas Sullivan, 81, of Three Rivers, passed away on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at the Heartland Health Care Center. He was born on Nov. 29, 1928 in Chattanooga, Tenn., the son of Alfred D. and Ruby (Hoggart) Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan has been a long time resident of Three Rivers. He was employed in the Shipping/Receiving Dept. for Continental Can Co. later Fonda from which he retired in 1991. Lawrence truly enjoyed spending time at home with family and his two dogs, also collecting coins and watching Western movies.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and one grandson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Ricki (Snow) Sullivan of Three Rivers; one son, Douglas (Kathy) Sullivan of Climax; five daughters, Diana Moreno of Orlando, Fla., Vickie Russell of Ft. Pierce, Fla., Patricia Sullivan of South Haven, Debra Hanson of Coral Springs, Fla. and Kelly Sullivan of Kalamazoo; one brother, Wayne (Jan) Sullivan of Kalamazoo; two step-sons, Tim (Shirlee) Miller of Colon and Jeff Miller of Three Rivers; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Pastor Kyle Foster officiating.
Interment will be held in Poe Cemetery, Newberg Township.
