Leon Cutler, 85

Leon P. Cutler, 85, of Portage, passed away Nov. 25, 2010 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Leon was born Aug. 20, 1925 in Centreville, the son of Leon and Laura (Schrader) Cutler. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Leon was employed by H. J. Cooper Co. for many years and retired from Upjohn Co. in 1990. He married Ruth McCrary Sept. 1, 1951 who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Joetta (David) Cherry of Sturgis; two granddaughters, Chata and Tobi Cherry. At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Centreville High School Athletic Department or Senior Services of Kalamazoo.
