David D. Hendricks, 64, of Sturgis, Mich., died Dec. 23, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo following an extended illness.
He was born March 17, 1946, in Bronson, Mich., a son to Merritt and Florence (Maybe) Hendricks.
He was a Sturgis resident for the past two years, coming from Centreville; and lived many years in White Pigeon.
On Sept. 7, 1968, he married Donna J. Wesse in White Pigeon.
He was employed in recreational vehicle manufactuing, was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Shipshewana, Ind., and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Surviving are his wife, Donna J. Hendricks of Sturgis; two daughters, Barbara (Scott) Cox of Sturgis and Tonia (Jason Garmire) Hendricks of Sturgis; three sons, Mark (Jennifer) Hendricks of Sturgis, David (Heather) Hendricks of Burr Oak and James (Liz) Hendricks of Howe, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; a sister, Edith (Marvin) Hooker of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Jerry, Jack, Jim and John.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has been conducted. Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 6080 N 100 W, Shipshewana, Ind., with Pastors Steve Lewis and Gary Cox.
Memorials may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the Farrand Funeral Home of White Pigeon which is handling the arrangements.
