Janet Downer, 71

Janet Marie Downer, 71, of Three Rivers, passed away on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 at Three Rivers Health. Janet was born on Sept. 8, 1939 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Lyle and Verna (Baldwin) Welburn.

Janet has been a lifelong resident of this area. She was a life member of the Three Rivers Eagles 2303 where she served as Past State President and volunteered with many charity groups. She also loved to travel with her late husband in their motor home.

Mrs. Downer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Downer, in 2005; two sisters, Betty and Janie; one daughter-in-law, Linda Downer.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory one daughter, Debbie Guthrie of Colorado; two sons, Tracy Downer of Three Rivers and Rick (Tina) Downer of Grand Rapids; two brothers, Larry and Doug Welburn, both of California; five grandchildren, Wesley Downer, Robby Guthrie, Justin Guthrie, Kristen Downer and Deanna (Cody) Woods; several great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating.
