Jim Kline, 64

James A. “Jim” Kline, age 64, of Sturgis, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

He was born Nov. 27, 1946 in Sturgis, a son of the late Leo A. and Dorothy Mae (Gonser) Kline.

Jim had been a long time resident of Sturgis and had been employed by Ross Laboratories for more than 35 years, retiring in January 2002.

On Dec. 30, 1981, he married Mary Kline in Centreville. Together they enjoyed traveling and walking. Jim also enjoyed bowling and playing golf.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; a stepdaughter, Lori Kline of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Sue Ann (Dave) Weiss of Bronson, and Merribeth Cuthbert of South Bend, Ind.; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; his mother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Linda Crites.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6-8 p.m. and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at Hackman Family Funeral Home Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.

Funeral services celebrating the life of James A. Kline will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor David Farrell, officiating.

Interment and graveside services will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be directed to Shepherds, 1805 15th Ave., Union Grove, WI 53182-1597. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
