Marie Louise Rose, age 64 of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at her home.
She was born June 22, 1946, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Arnold) Rose.
She was a homemaker, and for several years was her mother’s primary caregiver.
Marie enjoyed watching television, knitting, attending the St. Joseph County Grange Fair, shopping and exchanging holiday cards and gifts with her family, especially her sister Margie and brother Billy. She was always interested in keeping up with the happenings in her nieces and nephews lives.
Marie is survived by a sister, Margaret “Margie” Rose; four brothers, Michael “Mickey” Rose, Joseph “Bob” Rose, William “Billy” Rose and Jerry Rose; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; and special family friend, Kevin Miller.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Marie Rose will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. Mr. Larry Wallman will officiate. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
