Vicki Lynn (Yoder) Boyle, age 56, of Burr Oak, Michigan passed away
Thursday evening December 2, 2010 at the Community Health Center of
Branch County in Coldwater, Michigan.
She was born April 28, 1954 in Sturgis, Michigan the only daughter of
William and Freida (Casner) Yoder.
Vicki’s early life was lived in Burr Oak and she graduated from Burr Oak
High School with the class of 1972. She had also lived in Sturgis for
many years and in LaGrange, Indiana for a short time.
She had been employed by Coachman Industries in Middlebury, Indiana,
Deflecta Shield in Howe, Indiana, Midwest Tool and Cutlery and the
Hampton Inn both in Sturgis.
She was a member of the Sturgis Foursquare Church. She enjoyed working
with flowers, mushroom hunting, camping and volunteering her time with
the Sturgis Toy Run. In her younger years she was a member of the 4-H.
She is survived by one daughter, Fawn (Douglas II) Boyle Smith of
Sturgis, one granddaughter, Bailey Smith, parents, William and Freida
Yoder of Burr Oak, three brothers, William Yoder of Burr Oak, Dennis
(Sue) Yoder of Sturgis and Randall Yoder of Burr Oak and several nieces
and nephews, one great niece and two great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the
*Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St.,
Sturgis, MI 49091*. Funeral services celebrating the life of Vicki Lynn
Boyle will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday at the Sturgis Foursquare Church,
410 S. Clay St., Sturgis, MI. The Revs. Doug Carr and Steve Wisler will
officiate. In accordance with her wishes cremation will follow the
services. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn
Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
