William Lee Sherry, 57, of Marcellus, passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 12, 2010 at his residence.
He was born May 3, 1953 in Three Rivers, the son of William D. and Leatrice J. (Miller) Sherry. On Dec. 5, 1981 in Corey he married Marcia R. Rhodes.
He graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1971. Lee was formerly employed with Cass County Road Commission for 27 years. He served on the Newberg Fire and Ambulance Service for 29 years and was a former member of Jones United Methodist Church.
Surviving besides his wife, Marcia, are one daughter, Christen L. Sutton of Three Rivers; two sons, Christopher (Kelly Vedder) Rhodes of Three Rivers and Justin (Cynthia) Rhodes of LaGrange, Ind.; seven grandchildren; one sister, Vickie Sherry of Jones.
Services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16 in the Mater Funeral Home, Marcellus with Rev. Mike Owen, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Newberg, officiating. Burial will be in Poe’s Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Newberg Fire and Ambulance Service.
Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.
