Arthur G. Clauss, at the age of 81, passed away Dec. 30, 2010, at Thurston Woods Village after several years of failing health due to cancer.
Arthur was born July 5, 1929, in Battle Creek, a son of Samuel G. Clauss and Lillie Clauss, both of Vicksburg.
Arthur was a Korean War veteran, serving in the Army. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, a Meritorious Presidential Unit citation, and a U.N. Service Medal.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Chapman) Clauss; a son, George A. Clauss; a daughter, Orrine Lynn Clauss; two grandsons and one granddaughter, all of Sturgis; and his mother, Lillie Knierm of Kalamazoo. He was preceeded in death by a son, Randolph Scott Clauss; and a daughter, Leah Lynn Clauss.
Services will be announced at a later date as cremation has taken place.
