Lynn Hocevar, 67, of White Pigeon, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers, following a four-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born Sept. 10, 1943, in Lawton, Okla., a daughter of William Robert and Thelma Louise (Sims) Miller. She had been a resident of the Constantine and White Pigeon area for many years.
She was a teacher’s aide for Constantine schools, owner and operator of The Town Fryer Restaurant in Constantine and Plaza Restaurant in Middlebury, Ind.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are children Mark (Wendy) Hocevar of Twin Peaks, Calif., Donna (Brett) Outman of Three Rivers and Steve (Valerie) Hocevar of Fenton; six grandchildren, Kate and Kelsey Outman, Cody, Brady and Grace Hocevar and Peyton Hocevar; a sister, Debbie (Scott) Snyder of Carlsbad, Calif.; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Scoggins of Marinette, Wis., and Connie Miller of Springfield, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Carlyle Scoggins and William Robert Miller II.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will held in the spring in Springfield, Ill.
