Alva Lindsley, 62

Alva Raylene Lindsley, age 62, of Three Rivers, passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at the Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.

She was born in Three Rivers, on May 26, 1948, the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Gest) Jacobs. Raylene graduated from Centreville High School in 1966, and later attended Kalamazoo Beauty School.

On Jan. 15, 1988, she married Bill Lindsley in Centreville. They were later divorced.

Raylene was employed at Shell-Mart in Centreville for about nine years, until her illness in 2009. She had previously worked for 15 years in the parts department office at Viking RV in Centreville. Raylene was active in the Horse Riding Association in Centreville and the 4-H Club.

Surviving Raylene are her father, Raymond Lee (Jackie Bambacht) Jacobs of Portage; brothers William Jacobs, Steve Jacobs, both of Three Rivers, James (Cindy) Jacobs of Sturgis; grandchildren Cody Lindsley, Brandon Lindsley, Emily DeLeo, Cooper DeLeo, Mike Jacobs, Joe Jacobs; nieces Amanda (Jason) Parshall and Stephanie Jacobs, and nephew Josh Blount. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville. Religious service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jerry Solis of Riverside Church, Three Rivers officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
