Dorothy M. Zarem, 88, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Three Rivers. She was born Oct. 12, 1922 in Lynch, Ky., the daughter of Andy and Jessie (Finch) Martin.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter, in 2003; son, Gary, in 2001; brother, Andy; sister, Irene.
Dorothy enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and was also an avid reader.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, daughter, Pam (Woodrow) Thompson; step-son, Ronald W. Zarem; two sisters, Rose Sanders and Betty Krieger. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Michael Zarem, David Zarem, Patrick Zarem, Mark Zarem, Woodrow Thompson Jr., Kristen Braun, Wendy Fourie, Kate Mazich, Wade Thompson, Whitney Thompson, Kary Zarem and Kory Zarem; 22 great grandchildren, Brenden, Meagan, Bradley, Christopher, Kyle, Rachael, Heather, Woodrow III, Shada, Emma, Cody, Cheyenne, Paige, Dani, Derrick, Alexa, Andrew, Wyatt, Lane, Austin, Allison and Carter.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will take place in honor of Dorothy’s memory.
