Jeffrey Neale “Jeff” Hemenway, age 45, of Three Rivers, died Monday Feb. 21, 2011 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Three Rivers on Aug. 18, 1965 the son of Ralph and Donna (Happel) Hemenway. Jeff attended Mendon High School and served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas. He was a truck driver for a time, and had most recently been employed at Weyerhauser in Three Rivers. In his spare time he enjoyed boating, canoeing, and working on and collecting old boat motors.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Lisa (Wentzel) Hememway of Three Rivers; his father, Ralph Hemenway of three Rivers; his mother, Donna Dick of Mendon; a daughter, Jennifer Hememway of Three Rivers; 5 step-children, Joshua Wentzel and Matthew Wentzel both of Lincoln Park, Ashley Wentzel of Westland, Brandon Wentzel of Wyandotte, and Anthony Wentzel of Three Rivers; 1 great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Debruhl; 1 brother, Kenneth Hemenway of Mendon; 2 sisters, Suzanne Battishill of St. Joseph, and Sandra Hemenway of Mendon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hemenway in 1996.
