Wilbur R. Coffey, age 73, of Cocoa, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011.
Wilbur was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Benton Harbor. He retired after 35 years from the Sturgis Foundry in Sturgis.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Sturgis. Wilbur loved to play golf and was an avid Bowler for many years in both Michigan and Florida. He is preceded in death by his first wife Brona Lue who passed away Oct. 15, 2004.
He is survived by his Sister, Joyce (Richard) Baird of Ashley, Ind.; and his “new family,” Wife, Helen Coffey of Cocoa whom he married March 29, 2006; Daughters, Cheryl (Tom) Walls of Cocoa and Michelle (Beau) Farmer of Minnesota; Son, Dan West of Rome, New York; six grandchildren, Elesa (Rob) Quinlan of New Jersey; Jacob Walls of Cocoa; Abigail, Benjamin, Nathaniel and Hannah Farmer, all from Minnesota; two great grandsons, Matthew and Carter Quinlan.
A memorial service is scheduled for at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Port St. John, Fla.,
