Karen K. Hines, 50, of Marcellus, passed away Friday afternoon, March 11, 2011 in Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, following several months illness.
She was born Jan. 27, 1961 in Vicksburg the daughter of Edward L. and Phyllis M. (Hanes) Hines. She was formerly employed at Command Electronics Inc. near Schoolcraft. She enjoyed horses and ceramics.
Surviving are her mother, Phyllis Hines of Marcellus; three sisters, Sheila (George) Davis of Cassopolis, Sherry (William) Hammond of Three Rivers and Theresa Hines of Marcellus; one brother, Rick (Deborah) Hines of Marcellus; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward L. Hines, on March 28, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, in the Mater Funeral Home, Marcellus with Pastor Dwight Hostetler of the Edwards Corners Bible Church officiating. Burial will follow in Howardsville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
