Gerald Bradford, 75

Gerald E. Bradford, 75, of Three Rivers, passed away early Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Three Rivers Health. He was born on July 31, 1935 in Three Rivers the son of George and Esther (Horn) Bradford. Gerald graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1953.

Mr. Bradford attended Western Michigan University and traveled to Colombia, South America for two years. He later enlisted with the U.S. Army and following basic training became an M.P. where he worked for three months in Chicago, and then traveled to Korea with a security company.

While in Korea Gerald met his wife, Kim, and they were united in marriage in May of 1960. From this union, two sons were born, Matt (Kimberley) Bradford and Mark (Kim) Bradford, both of Three Rivers. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Ashlee Bradford and her fiancée Dustin Lawson, and Kyle Bradford, both of Three Rivers, as well as two sisters, Marilyn Warner and Norma Emmerling.

Mr. Bradford was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 15 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Anderson of the Nazarene Church and Pastor Kim of the Korean C.R.C. Church of Kalamazoo officiating.

Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers, with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Hice-Shutes Post #170.

Memorials may be donated to the Korean C.R.C. Church of Kalamazoo, 12809 S. 18th Street, Vicksburg, MI. 49097. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
