Thelma Jean Smoker, 86, of Sturgis, Mich., passed away Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2011, at the home of her son Ronald in Mason, Mich.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 651-2331 where the Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Sunday and from 10-11 a.m. Monday, May 2 at the Holy Angel Catholic Church in Sturgis where the memorial Mass celebrating the life of Thelma Smoker will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, May 2. The Rev. Father Mark Inglot and the Rev. Father German Perez-Diaz will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the Mass at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
