Verily Shepherd, 54, of Three Rivers, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at his home.
Verily was born Nov. 24, 1956 in Chicago, Ill. a son to the late Ernest and Christine (Carr) Shepherd.
He had worked at the former Dock Foundry in Three Rivers.
Verily is survived by his companion of 27 years, Christine Bingaman of Three Rivers; four sisters, Katherine (Terry) Snyder of Three Rivers, Brenda (Wayne) Bradley of Texas, Linda Shepherd of Leonidas and Annette Shepherd of Sturgis; seven brothers: Ernest L. Shepherd of Arkansas, Wayne Shepherd of Mendon, Gene Shepherd of Mendon, Earily (Tina) Shepherd of Mendon, Perry (Jane) Shepherd of White Pigeon, Vernon Shepherd of Three Rivers and Flint (Shelby) Shepherd of Mendon; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Shepherd, and a half-brother, James Shepherd.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, May 21, from 5-8 p.m. at the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon. Cremation will follow, with private burial of ashes at a later date.
