Buelah M. Bradford, age 90, of Three Rivers went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 22, 2011. She was born on March 1, 1921 the daughter of Lester and Mabel (Smith) Heckelman and was a lifetime resident of Three Rivers. Following graduation from Three Rivers High School she took secretarial courses and later worked at Abstract Title Co. and Bradford Insurance. She was a life member of the Bethany Chapel and provided in-home babysitting for many children in Three Rivers. She enjoyed travel with her family and had visited 37 of the 50 states. She had won numerous awards at the County Fair and qualified several times for the State Fair.
She was the loving mother of seven children and is survived by Randy Bradford, Linda Bradford, and Pam (Brian) Kaiser all of Three Rivers, Sid (Cindy) Bradford of Vicksburg, Connie Bradford of Kalamazoo, and Ed (Ursula) Bradford of Mendon; son in law, Norm Spade of Three Rivers; nine grandchildren, Cory and Kari Spade, James (Mindy) Bradford, Jason Bradford, Justin (Stephanie) Bradford, Shawn Holiday, Ariel Bradford, Janelle (Chris) Gray, and Shelly (Scoot) Barnes; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred “Popcorn” Bradford; 3 daughters, Vicki and Bonnie Bradford and Judy Spade; a brother, Ned Heckelman; and a sister, Helen Heckelman.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the Bethany Chapel.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday June 24, 2011 at the Bethany Chapel with Rev. Tim Moore officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the church. An online register is available at www.efhchapel.com
