Glen S. Smith II, age 39, of Sturgis, passed away early Thursday morning, June 23, 2011, at Sturgis Hospital.
He was born Feb. 8, 1972, in Sturgis, a son of Glen and Mickey (Boggs) Smith.
Glen had resided in Sturgis his entire life and had been employed by Dexter Axle in White Pigeon. He always looked forward to attending the Sturgis Toy Run.
He is survived by six daughters, Tanisha Smith, Mikayla Smith, Hannah Smith, Manon Smith, Jaden Smith and Sarah Riddle, all of Sturgis; two sons, Glen S. (Candace) Smith, III and Rylee Smith, both of Sturgis; parents, Glen and Mickey Smith of Sturgis; three sisters, Amy (Dan) Napier, Tracy Smith and Erica Smith, all of Sturgis; special friend, Esther Sias of Sturgis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the visitation. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
