Lorna J. Stahl, 70, of Constantine, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 20, 1940, in Grant, a daughter of Ralph and Elsie (Harker) Shears. She had resided in the Constantine area for 45 years, coming from Burr Oak.
On Jan. 7, 1967, she married Robert E. Stahl in Bristol, Ind. He died earlier the same day.
She had been employed at Continental Can in Three Rivers, Transogram in Sturgis, Owen-Illinois in Constantine and was self-employed in home health care.
She enjoyed shopping, gambling and traveling to Florida with her husband, reading, crocheting and having lunch with her sister.
Surviving are four daughters, Sheryl (Butch Sassaman) Stahl of Fort Myers, Fla., Cathy (Tim) Cundiss of Howe, Ind., Shannon Stahl of Fort Myers and Michelle Jarratt of Constantine; a son, Robert (Jean) Stahl of Sturgis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol (Jim) Woods of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Todd Caywood; infant twins; and a brother, Joe Shears.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
Funeral services will take place 1 p.m. Thursday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, with Pastor Dennis Kirouac of Riverside Church in Three Rivers officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
