Raymond Replogle, Jr., 88, of Three Rivers, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at his home. He was born on Aug. 6, 1922 in Middlebury, Ind. the son of Ray M. and Hattie F. (Rice) Replogle.
Raymond graduated from Middlebury High School. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy as an Electricians Mate 3rd class. He was united in marriage to the late Mary Eleanore Bergfeld on July 26, 1944. Raymond was employed for many years by American Electric Power where he eventually retired. He and Eleanore were lifetime members of the First Church of God.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Eleanore; one daughter, Donna “Diane” Rinehart; one granddaughter, Lisa Lengacher; one sister, and one brother.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving family, two sons, Dennis (Margo) of Dousman, Wis. and Douglas (Arvilla) of LaGrange, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Hattery, Wendi (Charles) Spencer, Darci (Scott) Froemming, Lisa (Rob) Pierce, Beth (Terry) Bauman, Vicki Bowman, Jeff Lengacher, Pamela (Ryan) Smoot, Angela (Ben) LaPlace and Jennifer Keck; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Stephic of Bristol, Ind.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4 at the Hohner Funeral Home, with Pastor John McClimans officiating.
Interment will take place in South Park Cemetery.
