Wilda G. Weinberg, age 90, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Centreville.
Wilda was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Sturgis, a daughter to the late George and Marie (Worrall) Schrader.
On Nov. 20, 1952, she married Richard Weinberg in Angola, Ind. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2000.
Wilda received her L.P.N. license from the University of Virginian and had worked as a nurse in the area for several years.
Wilda had made her home in Sturgis most all of her life and was confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Henchel and Beatrice Scott, both of Sturgis; one brother, Eldon Schrader of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Larry L. Weinberg; one sister, Rose Mary Hamm; and brother Wilmer Schrader.
There will be no visitation. A graveside funeral service and burial will take place Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon, with Mr. David J. Farrell officiating. The family was assisted by the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon.
