Barbara L. DeLisle, 51, of Bronson, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 27, 2011, at Sturgis Hospital.
She was born June 6, 1960, in LaGrange, Ind., a daughter of the late Oliver and Norma (Hostetler) Musser.
Barb had resided in Bronson since 2003. She had also lived in Texas for five years. Most of her life was spent in Sturgis and she was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1978.
On Sept. 11, 2003, she married David DeLisle in Centreville.
For the past six years, she had been employed by Kmart in Sturgis.
She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary Lodge #1314. Barb enjoyed crafts and painting and truly cherished every minute she spent with her grandchildren.
Barb is survived by her husband, David DeLisle; a daughter, Kristin (Alan) Ake Jr. of Sturgis; three grandchildren, Jordan Gill, Tyson Ake and Maddox Ake, all of Sturgis; two brothers, Dennis (Kathy) Musser of Florida and Rick Musser of Michigan; and three nieces, Tonya, Amanda and Samantha.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, John Musser and Steve Musser.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Barbara L. DeLisle will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Greg Long of the Sturgis Baptist Church will officiate. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will follow the services.
