Clara A. Bontrager, age 11 months, died late Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born in Burr Oak on Aug. 25, 2010, the daughter of Alvin and Rhoda (Hochstetler) Bontrager.
She is survived by her parents; three brothers, Ora A. Bontrager, Paul A. Bontrager, and Timothy A. Bontrager; one sister, Barbara A. Bontager all at home; maternal grandparents, Ora J. and Barbara Hochstetler of Centreville; paternal grandfather Joseph W. Bontrager and his wife, Fannie of Burr Oak; maternal great-grandfather, Amos D. Hochstetler of Sturgis; paternal great-grandmother, Lydia Bontrager of Burr Oak; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Esther Bontrager; paternal great-grandfather, William Bontrager; and maternal great-grandmother, Ida Hochstetler.
The family will receive friends at the Bontrager home located at 32075 Witt Lake Road, Burr Oak, on Thursday. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Melvin A. Hochstetler residence located at 25938 Truckenmiller Road, Centreville, with home ministers Henry Hertzler and Marlin Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the Old Amish Cemetery on Truckenmiller Road.
