Evelyn L. Christopherson, age 78, of Three Rivers, died Saturday July 30, 2010 at Riverview Manor. She was born near Alcester, SD on Dec. 7, 1932 the daughter of David and Edith (Allfree) Lundberg. She graduated from Alcester High School in 1950, and attended business school in Aberdeen, SD. She moved to Three Rivers in 1954 and was employed as a bookkeeper by the Farm Bureau, and later by the Three Rivers Hospital. Evelyn was a member of the Three Rivers Bible Church where she taught Sunday school from 1954 until 2002. She was a volunteer for the Three Rivers Hospital Auxiliary; the Three Rivers Area Mentoring program; and worked as an election worker for city and school elections..
Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Deborah Christopherson of Williamston, MI; 2 brothers, Bruce (Annette) Lundberg of Three Rivers and Ray (Nancy) Lundberg of Battle Creek; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Don Lundberg; and a sister, Amanda Lundberg.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday August 4, 2011 at the Three Rivers Bible Church with Pastor Jay Bailey officiating, followed a gathering in the social room of the church. A private interment of ashes will take place later in South Dakota. Memorials may be directed to the Three Rivers Bible Church or the Lights of Love project at Three Rivers Health.
