Penny Brown, 51

Penny Marie Brown, age 51, of White Pigeon, beloved mother, wife, sister and daughter, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at her home.

She was born in Three Rivers on July 9, 1960, a daughter of James and Willamae “Toots” (Parker) Clark. Penny graduated from Centreville High School in 1978. On Oct. 24, 1992, she married Kurt Allen Brown in Centreville. She worked at IKU (Eaton Corp.) Three Rivers for several years and loved to play Bingo and enjoyed cross stitch.

Surviving are her parents, Jim and Willamae “Toots” Clark of Centreville; husband, Kurt Brown of White Pigeon; daughter, Heather (Pablo) Velasco of Centreville; son, Roger Bogema of Centreville; step son, Duane (Anna) Double of Kalamazoo; grandson, Antonio Duran; granddaughters, Madison Double and Natalie Double; sister Julie Clark of Centreville; brother, Dan (Sherrie) Clark of Sturgis; two nieces, Tiffany Butz of Kalamazoo and Bridgette (John) Alley of Burr Oak; nephew, Michael Clark of Sturgis; three great-nephews Braxton, Cole and Collyn Alley, of Burr Oak; aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Bogema; son in law, Juan Duran; and several aunts, uncles and grandparents.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at New Beginnings Community Church, Sturgis, with Pastors Randy Evans and Ron Bell officiating.
