Winifred Waltz, 87

Winifred L. Waltz, 87, of Three Rivers, passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 14, 2011 at the Riverview Manor, Three Rivers.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1924 in Kalamazoo County, the daughter of William and Josie (Bower) Barton. On Feb. 19, 1941 in Three Rivers she married George W. Waltz, who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2010.

Surviving are one daughter, Dolores (Charles) McPeck of Galesburg; one son, Denis (Joyce) Waltz of Three Rivers; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, David C. and Duane Waltz; one granddaughter, Cathy McPeck-Fee; one sister, Hennrietta Switzer; and six brothers, Vaughn, Alton, Gordon, Chester, Alfred, and Edwin.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 at the Mater Funeral Home, Marcellus with Rev. Dwight Hostetler of Edwards Corners Bible Church officiating. Burial will follow in Moorepark Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society.
