Erika Elli Bloomfield, age 33, of Three Rivers passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Rose Arbor Hospice following her courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 13, 1978 in Three Rivers, MI. the daughter of Walt and Emili(Henrich)Forward.
Erika was a 1996 graduate of Three Rivers High School where she was very involved with the marching band and athletics. She then completed her education and became a member of the Three Rivers Fire and Rescue department in 1997. On April 5, 2006 she married her husband Jeff Bloomfield in Colorado both sharing the same passion for the fire and rescue profession.
Erika was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elli Henrich and grandfather, Irwin(Pete)Forward.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory husband, Jeff Bloomfield of Marcellus, MI; three children, Austin Schrader, Alexis Schrader, and Annika Bloomfield; parents, Walt and Emilie(Milli)Forward of Canon City, Co; sisters, Heidi Forward-Kraft of Canon City, Co and Christel Hoffmann of Glauburg, Germany; grandmother, Bertha Forward; grandfather, Karl Henrich of Glauburg, Germany; mother-in-law Yvonne Caswell of Comstock, MI; father-in-law, Ralph(Linda)Bloomfield of Kalamazoo, MI; special godmother, Marie Nickel; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene 1221 Coon Hollow Rd; Three Rivers, MI. 49093.
Funeral Services for Ericka Bloomfield will be 2:00p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene with Pastor and Three Rivers Fire Department Chaplain Bob Anderson officiating.
Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers, MI.
