Charles Donald Bryie Jr., 78, of Brethren, formerly of Sturgis, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Cedar Ridge AFC Home in Brethren.
He was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Sturgis, the son of Charles and Devona (McCloud) Bryie Sr.
Charles retired in 1996 from Gray Brothers Stamping and Machine, Inc, where he was employed as a welder. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and picking strawberries.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Deana Bryie of Brethren; two brothers, David (Criss) Bryie of Florida and Mike (Jan) Bryie of Florida; and his cousins, Janice Hopkins of Sturgis and Judy Penn Roberts of Sturgis.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Bryie.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
