Elizabeth L. (Wood) Brackett, age 40, of Three Rivers, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospice Residence in Battle Creek. She was born in Sturgis on Oct. 28, 1970, the daughter of Sharley and Mildred (Baney) Wood. Elizabeth attended Mendon Schools and received her Associates Degree from Glen Oaks Community College. She had been employed at Coachman in Middlebury, Allstate Insurance in Three Rivers, Interstate Trailer in Mottville, Meijer in Three Rivers, and for the past 5 years at I.A.C. in Mendon. She especially enjoyed reading novels and working crossword puzzles in her spare time.
Elizabeth was married to Eldon Brackett on April 3, 1996 in Centreville. He survives along with 5 children, Karissa Brackett and Travis Brackett both of Colon, Brian, Zackary, and Dillian Brackett all of Three Rivers; 3 grandchildren, Isabella, Christopher, and Savannah; her parents, Sharley and Mildred Wood of Marked Tree, Ark.; 3 brothers, Tracy, Willie, and Robert Wood; 1 sister, Jessica Wood; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Friday Oct. 21, 2011 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Codde, Chaplain of Lifespan Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Nottawa Cemetery. Memorial will be directed to the family.
