Jerry Krull, 88

Gerald “Jerry” Krull, 88, of Elkhart, Ind., died at 7:14 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born March 27, 1923 in Constantine to Joseph and Flora (Kinch) Krull.

On Oct. 3, 1948 in Constantine he married Betty Johnson. She died on Nov. 30, 1992. On June 7, 1994 in Goshen he married Kathleen Stump. She died on Nov. 20, 2003. On June 5, 2005 in Nappanee, Ind. he married Edna (Nisley) Drudge. She survives along with one son, Jay (Lorri) Krull of Middlebury, Ind.; one daughter, Mari (Paul) Hall of Houston, Texas; seven step-children; five grandchildren, 24 step-grandchildren; 41 step-great-grandchildren; numerous step-great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Auger of London, England. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ruth Weyenberg, who died in 2005.

Jerry graduated in 1940 from Constantine High School. He served in the US Navy during W.W.II from 1943-1946. Jerry was the owner of Krull Construction Company from 1948 till his retirement in 1990. After retirement he continued to work in construction. He was instrument in the building addition to the Northside Baptist Church. Jerry was a member and usher of the Northside Baptist Church. He also enjoyed hunting and traveling.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Northside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Pastor Carl Henry will preside and burial will follow in Zion Cemetery in Bristol where the Elkhart DAV Chapter #19 will render military honors. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Northside Baptist Church Building Fund.
