Kirk Knapp, 47

Kirk Alan Knapp, age 47, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

Kirk was born in Three Rivers on Aug. 1, 1964, a son of James E. and Lettie (Schober) Knapp. He graduated from Constantine High School in 1982 and was employed Armstrong International in Three Rivers for 15 years. Kirk enjoyed fishing and taking walks. He especially cherished spending time with his granddaughters. Kirk was attending Riverside Church in Three Rivers.

Surviving are his mother, Lettie (Arthur) Gallegos, Littleton, Colo.; father, James (Reba) Knapp, Port St. Lucie, Fla.; daughter Tonya (Jeremy) Bacon of Constantine; granddaughter, Nevaeh Bacon; step granddaughter, Cora Bacon; brother, Craig (Terry) Knapp of Fort Bragg, NC; girlfriend, Angie Wheaton of Three Rivers; nieces Jennifer Logan, Millersburg, Ind.; and Jessie Newman, Tazewell, Va.

Relatives and friends will be received Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, with Pastor Jerry Solis officiating. Interment will be in the Constantine Cemetery.
