Rex Vernon Carter, 78, of Three Rivers, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Sept. 15, 1933 in Waverly, Tenn., the son of Rexie and Vinnie (Binkley) Carter.
Rex has been a long time resident of Three Rivers. He was formerly employed at Arco Products/Premier Products before retiring.
Mr. Carter leaves to cherish his memory his loving family, wife, Marion (Rogers) Carter, to whom he was united in marriage on Nov. 24, 1952; three loving children, daughters, Cynthia (Eddie) Smith of Inkster, Gail Carter-Wolf of Houston, Texas; son, Steven (Ronda) Carter of Portage; three sisters, Shirley (Ed) Hnot and Freida (Don) Croft, both of Westland, Margie and John Salmon of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two brothers, Herman (Sharon) Carter and Maurice (Frosty) Carter, both of Wayne; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation has taken place and private family services have been held.
