Marion Elaine Ely, 82, of White Pigeon, died Friday, Nov. 25, at Borgess medical Center in Kalamazoo after an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 31, 1929, in Centreville, a daughter of Ralph and Treva Emerson. She had been a resident of White Pigeon since 1953, coming from Missouri.
On April 5, 1951, she married Dale E. Ely in Howe, Ind.
She had been employed at the abstract office in Centreville, and for 29 years as a rural mail carrier at the White Pigeon post office.
She was a past den mother and enjoyed crafts.
Surviving are her husband, Dale E. Ely of White Pigeon; two sons, Dennis (Terri) Ely of Osceola, Ind, and Darryl Ely of White Pigeon; a grandson, Matthew (Misty) Ely of Clarksville, Ind.; a granddaughter, Wendi (Matthew) Osgatharp of Jasper, Ind.; and a great-grandson, Noah Ely.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donald Emerson.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Wilbur Brandli will officiate. Interment will follow in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
