Mary Pittman, 76

Mary D. Pittman, 76, of Marcellus, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at Three Rivers Health following a short illness.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1935 in Constantine the daughter of Harley and Amanda (Schmidtendorff) Kline, and was a Marcellus resident since 1957 coming from Jones. She graduated from Constantine High School in 1953 and after that was employed by C.G. Conn in Elkhart, Ind. until she married Noble B. Pittman on Sept. 15, 1957. She helped with the farm, gardening and canning. She worked for the Fabius Township elections for 50 years, Willow Lake Campground six years, McDonald’s office four years, income tax preparation for Stutsman Accounting Service, and DeBoer Materials for 17 years.

She became a mother on Oct. 23, 1960 to Nancy Allen, and on Oct. 16, 1963 to David Noble. She enjoyed her children very much. She also enjoyed crafts, reading and her grandchildren, watching them in their sport activities.

She is survived by her husband, Noble B. Pittman of Marcellus; daughter, Nancy E. (James Jr.) Jacobs of Three Rivers; son, David (Connie) Pittman of Plano, Texas; grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew Jacobs; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Leland, Frank, John and Joseph Kline.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23 at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers where services will be held on Friday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Mottville Township Cemetery.
