Alice Cottingham, 89

Alice Minnie Cottingham, 89, of Three Rivers, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Centreville. She was born in Kokomo, Ind. on Feb. 4, 1922 the daughter of the late Frank and Eva (VavBriggle) Smith.

Alice has been a resident of Three Rivers since 1954 and was the widow of Raymond Edward Cottingham, who died in 1965. She was a member of the Three Rivers Bible Church and was active at the Three Rivers Senior Center.

Alice is survived by a son, Don (Diane) Cottingham of Quincy, Ill.; a daughter, Janice (David) Dodd of Portage; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Cottingham in 2006 and Mark Cottingham in 1955; by a daughter, Carol Ann Stumpf in 1980; and by a sister.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
