Avis E. Jenkins, 86, of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2011 at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
Avis was born Sept. 18, 1925 in Urbana, Ohio a daughter to the late William and Eva Marie (Schaffer) Coleman.
Avis had made her home in Three Rivers at her present address for the past 30 years and had been a very active member of the Three Rivers Lioness Club, she also enjoyed playing bingo.
Avis is survived by three sons, Douglas P. (Debra) Jenkins of Colon, Terry L. (Yvonne) Jenkins of Vincennes, Ind. and David (Mary) Jenkins of Auburn, Ind.; several grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one sister, Betty Duncan of Three Rivers.
There will be no visitations, cremation has taken place, a graveside memorial service and burial of ashes will take place in the spring at Riverside Cemetery in Three Rivers. The family was assisted by the Schipper Funeral Home LTD. in Colon.
