Carolyn S. Watson, age 56, of Nottawa, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at her home.
She was born Sept. 2, 1955, in Warsaw, Ind., a daughter of Richard A. and Anne L. (Marzke) Barnes.
In 1977, Carolyn moved to White Pigeon from Pierceton, Ind., and had resided in Nottawa for a short time.
She was employed by the White Pigeon School in the food services. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis and enjoyed crocheting, camping and playing video games with her family.
Surviving are a son, Timothy L. Watson of White Pigeon; a brother, Jim (Marla) Barnes of St. Cloud, Fla.; her parents, Richard and Anne Barnes of Larwill, Ind.; two nieces, Carrie (Joshua) Phillips and Roxanne (David) Culver; and a nephew, Cody Barnes.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, at Hackman Family Funeral Home — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis, with the Rev. Calvin Kolzow officiating.
Interment will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, Ind.
The family suggests memorial donations be directed to Colon Cancer Research or Three Rivers Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
