Janice K. Marunde, 73, of Manistique and formerly of Three Rivers, passed away Nov. 2, 2011 at the Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility in Manistique.
Janice was born on July 3, 1938 in Three Rivers and graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1956.
From 1958-1977 Janice was married to Rolland Hackenberg of Three Rivers. They had three children together, Cindy Hackenberg of Kalamazoo, Cathy (Joe) Rice and Michael (Penny) Hackenberg, both of Three Rivers.
On March 8, 1980 she married Albert C. Marunde in Three Rivers. She had three step-children, Bonnie (Wayne) Smith of Three Rivers, Mike Marunde of Constantine and Patrick (Sarah) Marunde of Sherwood.
Janice was employed at Weyerhaeuser Paper Co. in Three Rivers for 24 years and retired in Manistique.
Janice is survived by her husband, Albert, of Manistique; two brothers, Joe Kozik and Lindsey (Chris) Kozik, both of Three Rivers; six children; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Beverly (Deedrich) Kozik and brother Dennis Horner.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Moorepark Community Church, 55701 Wilbur Rd., Three Rivers. The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.
