Lee Crampton, 84

Lee B. Crampton, 84, of Concord, Calif., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, in Concord of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 14, 1927, in White Pigeon Township, to Carl V. and Edna B. (Barnes) Crampton.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had lived in California since 1973, 32 years in Concord.

On July 6, 1952, he married Gloria M. Smith in Toledo, Ohio.

He was a chemical engineer for Dow Chemical in Midland and in California. He was a life member of the United Methodist Church, 32nd degree member of the Royal Arch F&AM, Kiwanis Club, founding member of the Dow Wet Lands. He enjoyed his family, fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria M. Crampton of Concord; a daughter, Debbie (Tim) Kopack of Templeton, Calif.; a son, David (Lin) Crampton of Rossmoor, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a sister, Charlene Finch of White Pigeon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation is from noon-2 p.m. Friday at FarrandFuneral Home in White Pigeon. Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Manning of the United Methodist Church officiating.

Masonic services will also be conducted. Internment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to White Pigeon United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
