A 28-year-old man from Indiana was charged with driving with a suspended license after his vehicle was struck by a car Monday in Sturgis Township.
The man, whose name and hometown were not released, was driving east on U.S. 12 when a pickup driven by an 83-year-old Sturgis man pulled out in front of the man’s car at White School Road.
The Indiana man and a female passenger were treated for injuries at Sturgis Hospital. Police investigating the late-afternoon incident later discovered the man was wanted on outstanding, unspecified warrants, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
